Dr. Balaram attended Creighton University for his undergraduate education, where he graduated with honors. He continued his studies at Creighton School of Medicine, serving as president of his medical school class and earning his M.D. degree in 2006. Dr. Balaram completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at Loyola University Chicago. He continued to specialize, completing the Kaplan Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at New York University Hospital in Manhattan, New York. Following that, Dr. Balaram completed a second fellowship in Shoulder an Elbow Surgery with the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group.
Dr. Balaram is fluent in English and Spanish.
